He’s funny
2026 and he is still missed…
Nice songs ❤
I had the great pleasure of hearing him live, in the San Francisco Bay Area. Spectacular.
I myself sang and played guitar for a living for forty years or so, so I’ve been on that road and know what it takes. I once even played in the in front of 45,000 screaming Giants fans, my patrón and I on the pitchers’ mound in ‘Stick.
Yeah, it’s a rush. But at my height I couldn’t hold a crowd like JD could, no way.
He was unique. And it breaks my heart that he trsgically joined the ranks of the likes of Buddy Holly, Jim Croce, Aaliya, the Big Bopper, Richie Valens.
I was at a gig and someone requested some John Denver. I asked, ‘What song?’
‘All the ones you know.’
So I sang for forty minutes or so and STILL didn’t run out.
When you’re on a Rocky Mountain high you really don’t want to come down.
